Community-based approaches to support survivors of homocide victims
The Neighborhood Ambassador Program (NAP), launched by the Centre for Research and Innovation for Black Survivors of Homicide Victims (The CRIB) in 2023, employs community members who live and/or work in neighborhoods disproportionately impacted by homicide, to provide community outreach and support as well as to conduct research.

The Centre for Research & Innovation for Black Survivors of Homicide Victims (the CRIB)
The CRIB is a multidisciplinary research centre that focuses on advancing research, policy, and practice for Black survivors of homicide victims using community-engaged methods and principles. The CRIB develops culturally responsive research, impactful policy, evidence-based practice, and training for service providers and community based agencies who work with Black survivors of homicide victims.
